Cholera Monument (Sheaf Valley Park)
A short uphill walk from the back of Sheffield's Train station, the cholera monument provides a great view of the city centre. If you've loads of energy, continue further up the hill to the nearby Norfolk Park.
Norfolk Heritage Park
A grand park donated to the city by the Duke of Norfolk, with a single loop around the park between it's two tree lined entrance paths. Please note, the walk to Norfolk park is approximately largely uphill.
The Arts Tower
This 22 floor University of Sheffield building hosts one of the few remaining paternoster lifts in the UK. Paternoster lifts are unique in that they are continually moving, Sheffield's has been hosted on the BBC one show. You might want to check this out if you're passing in the daytime.

Winter Garden

There are more than 2,500 plants from around the world creating a superb display. The winter garden is attached to the Millenium Gallery and next to Graves Gallery, which close at earlier times of 5pm and 4pm respectively.
